Adjusting the front radar sensor (FRS)

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If there is a "Sensor misadjusted" fault memory entry and a correct sensor alignment using the adjustment screw is not possible, there is a suspicion of front impact damage.
In this case, the vehicle must be carefully inspected for damage. If necessary, damaged parts must be replaced. Then adjust the ACC sensor again.
A damaged/bent holder indicates a mechanical misuse of the vehicle and will not be considered to be a warranty case.

Checking the vehicle and components for damage

In the visible areas, precise visual inspection of:

damage
deformation

Result

» Damage or deformation.

Measure

Identify damaged, deformed vehicle parts and replace.

Result

» No damage or deformation

Measure

Adjust front radar sensor (FRS).

Stage special tools 0 442 898 and 2 338 466 .
Set up the special tool as per provided operating instructions.

To adjust the front radar sensor (FRS), twist screw (1) using the standard tool.
