Removing the support for front seat (CSL)

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE STRAP FITTING .
- Refer to REMOVING DRIVER'S SEAT .
- Refer to FOR CONTINUING WORK ON THE FRONT SEAT: MOUNT THE FRONT SEAT ON THE UNIVERSAL SEAT MOUNT AND CONNECT WITH THE WIRING HARNESS IF NECESSARY .
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock the retaining lugs (1) and unclip the control unit connector (2).
- Unpin the connector (1) (gray) and connector (2) (black) from the control unit connector (3).
- Unclip the attachment points (1).
- Unclip the attachment points (1).
- Carefully unclip the seat cover (2) in the marked area.
- Position the support for front seat (1) as shown.
- Feed out the wiring harness (2) from the seat pan (3).
- Remove the support for the front seat (1).
