Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SPOILER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT BOTTOM SIDE COVER .
- Refer to LOOSENING THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM THE WHEEL BEARING .
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Deflection of the ball joint of the tension strut by more than 25° .
Damage to the bellows and premature wear in the ball joint .

- The tension strut may be angled at a maximum of 25° when installing and removing it!
- Release nut (1). If necessary, counter support at the Torx socket.
- Release the tension strut (2) from the swivel bearing (3).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Feed the tension strut (1) out of the front subframe.
- Push output shaft (1) slightly upwards.
- Feed out the tension strut (2) in the arrow direction and remove it.
