Removing the window channel strip at rear outer left and right

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Removing the rear outer window recess finisher strip
Precondition
Side window glass is open.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage of high-quality surfaces.
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces.
Damage of high-quality surfaces.
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces.
- Protect surfaces from damage.
- Insert special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) into window cavity.
- Position the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) as shown with the short shank at the lower edge of the window recess finisher strip (1) .
- Position the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326) on the side trim panel.
- To avoid pressure points on the side trim panel from the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326), also protect the side trim panel.
- Thread a suitable tool (2) through the opening in the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324).
- Move special tool 2 298 505 and 0 495 484 (00 9 324) uniformly backwards until the window recess finisher strip (1) has been completely disassembled.
- Release and remove the window recess finisher strip (1)
from the clips (2)
