Assemble outside rearview mirror

Electrostatic discharge.
Damage to or destruction of electrical components.

Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Feed in the cable (2) into the mirror.
The pins on the cables (2) must not be damaged.

The number of cables (2) varies depending on the equipment.
Use foam inserts (1) .

Install pin connector (3) in the connector housing (2) .
Use connector housing (2) .
Use sound insulation (1) .

Attach the wiring harness (2) to the holders and place correctly.
Connect connectors (1) and lock.

Installing the cover on the mirror base
Check the detents on the cover (1) for damage, if necessary replace the cover (1) .
Correctly position and engage the cover (1) .
