Removing the left and right camber control arm

Precondition
The coil spring is tensioned.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
Removing the camber control arm
Precondition
The coil spring is tensioned.
WARNING:
Car may slip off the vehicle hoist where components are supported.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!
- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Release nut (1) .
- Release the attachment rod (2)
from the camber control arm.
- For CFRP brake disks, position the special tool 5 A4A EC2 .
- Hand-tighten the lug bolt (1)
.
- Position special tool 2 358 630 .
- Turn lug bolts (1) until hand-tight.
- Support the wheel carrier with special tool 2 219 012
. When doing so, do not press against the spring force of the coil spring.
- Release nut (1) .
- Pull out the screw (2) .
- Disconnect the special tool 2 219 012
and set it aside.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Secure component against falling. - Mark the position of the eccentric of the eccentric screw (1) for the camber control arm (2) to simplify the subsequent setting of the rear axle.
- Release nut (3) and remove the eccentric washer.
- Release nut (4) .
- Pull out the eccentric screw (1) and the screw (5) .
- Remove the camber control arm (2) with the tensioned coil spring (6) .
