Releasing the left and right output shafts from the rear axle differential

Perform the steps on the right and left side.
Releasing the output shaft on rear axle differential
Precondition
The exhaust system was removed.
- Prepare special tools 0 495 851 (33 5 120) and 0 496 765 (33 5 126) .
- Position special tool 0 496 765 (33 5 126)
on the circumferential slot (1)
of the output shaft.NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Failure to comply with the specification.
Component damage.- All specifications must be observed and complied with.
- Support the special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120) without fail in the area (1) on the rear axle differential.
- Press out the output shaft from the rear axle differential using special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120) with jerky movements.
