Installing rear axle differential

- Use special tool 2 219 012
to lift rear axle differential (1)
and position it on the rear axle support.
- Replace screws (1)

Parts: Screws
- Screw in the screws (1)
by a few turns.
- Replace the nut (1)
and the screw (2)
.
Parts: Nut, bolt
- Insert screw (2) into the rear axle support.
- Tighten nut (1)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Rear differential to rear axle carrier, rear M14
Replace screw and nut.Tightening torque 165 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Tighten the screws (1)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Adapter of rear axle differential to rear axle support M12
Replace screw.Tightening torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Release special tool 0 496 080 (33 5 206) from special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200) .
- Lower special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200)
using special tool 2 219 012
and keep it aside.
- Position ground cable (2) on the rear axle differential.
- Tighten nut (1) .
