NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Remove protective cap (1).
- Loosen nuts (2) and (3) until the hood can be pushed.
- Slide the hood in longitudinal direction and to the side until the hood has the specified gap dimension.
Check
- Check gap dimensions.
Result
- » Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjusting hood.
NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side. - Install the nuts (2) and (3) and tighten.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Hood to the hinge Nut M8 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Install the protective cap (1).
Adjusting engine compartment lid catch
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Adjust striker (1) by turning nut (2).
Check
- Check gap dimensions between the hood and the headlights.
Check gap dimensions between the hood and the front ornamental grill.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust hood latch.
Adjust stop pads
- Screw in stop pads (1) fully until the pin (2) can be pulled out.
Pull the pin (2) out approx. 5 mm.
- Slowly close the hood.
- Pin (2) will be pressed into stop pad (1) while doing so.
- Raise the hood.
- Unscrew stop pad (1) so far until setting plug (1) is flush with the upper edge of pin (2).
