Remove Engine Mount

- Release self-tapping screws in the areas (1) and (2).
Release the rivet connectors in the areas (3).
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see: OPENING BONDED CONNECTIONS REP-ALG-RAGRP41-4105702 - V.3 (M5 2018-2022, M5 Competition 2019-2022, M5 CS 2022) . - Heat and remove the bonded connections in areas (1) to (3). Do not damage aluminum spring support in the process!
- Perform the separating cut (1) as shown. Do not damage aluminum spring support (2) in the process!
- Remove the engine mount section.
- Open welded connections in area (1).
- Release self-tapping screws in area (2).
- Heat and remove the bonded connections in area (2).
- Remove reinforcement (3).
- Make separating cuts (1) as shown. Detach engine mount section-wise.
- Partially release the self-tapping screw in area (2) and rivet connectors in the areas (3) with a file belt sander.
- Heat and remove the bonded connection in areas (2) and (3).
- Release self-tapping screws and rivet connectors in the areas (1).
- Heat and remove the bonded connections in areas (1) and remove the engine mount (2).
