Trailing Arm: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Damaged threads in bushings on body side can be repaired with Helicoil thread inserts. These inserts must be fitted flush with the original thread. Replace self-locking fasteners and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. When installing control arm to trailing arm bolt, note direction of travel (F). See Figure.
  3. When installing eccentric bolt on trailing arm, note insertion direction of bolt. F is direction of travel. See Figure. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Perform wheel alignment check. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES  under ADJUSTMENTS.
