Removing the crash-active head restraint for the front seat

Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TOP REAR PANEL FROM THE FRONT SEAT REAR PANEL .
- Loosen screw (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The drivetrain for the headrest height adjustment must be replaced as soon as the head restraint is removed. - Spread the clamps (2) a little in the arrow direction and remove the crash-active head restraint (3) from the drive system (4) for the headrest height adjustment.
- Feed out the crash-active head restraint (1) and cable (2) from the backrest towards the top.
