Vehicle battery - closed current monitoring (M5 2018-2022)

Preliminary work :

To access the battery ground lead, perform the necessary preliminary work described in DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OF THE SYSTEM BATTERY .

Do not disconnect the battery ground lead!

NOTE: If several 12V batteries are installed in the vehicle:
Closed-circuit current check is possible on the vehicle battery only .

Connect diagnostic system.

Connect the clip-on probe to the battery ground lead of the vehicle battery. The arrow on the clipon probe must point towards the vehicle battery.

Measure closed-circuit current.
