Adjusting the right-hand camber

Remove the cover of the rear right engine compartment

Loosen the lock (1).
Remove the cover (2).

Covering the vehicle battery

WARNING: Unprotected battery terminals.
Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!

Cover the vehicle battery.

NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.

Cover the vehicle battery with the special tool 2 452 007 as shown .

Removing the right side hood seal

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the lateral hood seal

Release the cap (1).
Pull out the connector (2) towards the top.
Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.

Pull the adapter (1) for the cap out in an upwards direction and remove it.
Loosen the rivet (2).
Remove the side hood seal (3).

Detach the spring strut in front

Loosen screws (1).

Remove top wishbone

Release nut (1) of the front screw connection of the upper wishbone on shock tower in engine compartment.

Support swivel bearing

Secure special tool 2 358 630 to drive flange with lug bolts.
Support the swivel bearing using the special tool 2 358 630 and the universal jack.

Loosen nut (1).
Detach ride height sensor (2) from the top wishbone.

Loosen nut (1).
Remove the screw (2).
Detach upper wishbone (4) from swivel bearing (3).

Loosen screw (1).
Pull spring strut outwards slightly and remove screws (1) and (2).
Remove top wishbone (3).

Install top wishbone

Replace the clip nut (1) of the rear screw connection of the upper wishbone on the body.

Position the upper wishbone (3).
Replace screws (1) and (2).

Pull the suspension strut slightly out and install the screws (1) and (2).

Replace nut (1).
Parts: Nut

Hand-tighten the nut (1) of the front screw connection on the upper wishbone on the shock tower in the engine compartment.

Set the normal position of the upper wishbone (1).
Vertically adjust the rear lower edge of the upper wishbone (1) for the body to dimension (A).
- Dimension (A) = 12 cm

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .

Tighten the screw (1) of the wishbone at the top (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Upper wishbone to body
M10 Replace screw and nut.	tightening torque	54 Nm

Tighten nut (1).

Position the wishbone pin (4) at the top in the hole of the swivel bearing (3).
Replace the screw (2) and the nut (1).
Parts: Screw, nut

Install the bolt (2).
Tighten the screw connection via the nut (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Upper wishbone to swivel
M10 Replace screw and nut. Tightening via nut.	Tightening toque	56 Nm

Position jointed rod (2) on upper wishbone.
Tighten nut (1).

Jointed rod ride height sensor on wishbone
M6	tightening torque	8 Nm

Lower the universal jack and put it away.
Remove special tool 2 358 630 .

Attach the front spring strut

Position the spring strut on the strut-tower.
Replace screws (1).
Parts: Screws

Tighten down screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Front spring strut support bearing to body
M8 Replace screws.	Tightening torque	34 Nm

Installing the hood seal on the right

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Installing the lateral hood seal

Position side hood seal (3).
Secure the rivet (2).
Install the adapter (1) for the cap.

Connect connectors (3) and lock.
Connect plug (2).

NOTE: The connector (2) must noticeably snap into place.

Install cap (1).

Install the rear right engine compartment cover

Remove the battery cover

NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.

Remove the special tool 2 452 007 from the battery.
