Removing the alternator

Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER PANEL OF THE MASTER DME CONTROL UNIT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER PANEL OF THE SLAVE DME CONTROL DEVICE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE LEFT .

- Loosen screw (1) .
- Disengage the holder of the tank vent line (2) .
- Place tank vent line to one side.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Remove the holder (2)
upwards.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Remove the cover of the positive battery cable (2)
in an upwards direction.
- Unfasten nut (1) .
- Remove the positive battery cable (1) and set it aside.
- Feed out and remove the alternator (2) .
