Tightening the threaded connection to the control arm in the normal position

- All specifications must be observed and complied with.
- Loosen screw (1) .
- Release the spring strut from the wheel carrier.
- Before lifting the wheel carrier, spring strut shock absorber (1) must
be positioned behind camber control arm (2)
in the arrow direction.
- Cover camber control arm (1) with a cloth (2) .
- While lifting the wheel carrier, ensure that there is sufficient distance from the spring strut shock absorber (3)
.
- Position the special tool 2 358 630 with lug bolts on the brake disk.
- Apply the lug bolts until hand-tight.
- Insert the universal jack into the special tool 2 358 630
.
- Lift the wheel carrier with the universal jack until the dimension (A)
is reached.
Dimension (A) must not be undershot.

Replace screw.
Tighten in normal position.Joining torque 165 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Tighten nut (2)

Counter-support screw (2) .
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONControl arm to rear axle support M14
Replace screw and nut.
Tighten in normal position.Joining torque 165 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Release the universal jack and set it aside.
- Release the lug bolts and remove the special tool 2 358 630

- Align spring strut (1)
parallel to wheel carrier (2)
and guide it into the wheel carrier.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION . - Position the spring strut shock absorber on the wheel carrier.
- Replace the screw (1)
