CAUTION: Acid combustions may result from skin contact with oil or inhaling oil vapors.
Risk of acid burns from contact with oil!
  • Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation.
NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to rear axle differential.
Failure to comply with the oil specifications can result in serious damage to the rear axle differential.
  • Only use approved oil in the rear axle differential.
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The oil level in the rear axle differential may not be checked. The correct oil level is lower than the oil filler opening.
After leaks at the rear axle differential, the residual oil must be drained from the rear axle differential and filled up with a measured quantity of the new rear differential fluid.
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Rear differential fluid must be  shaken (mixed) prior to use so that the additive distributes evenly in the oil.
Filling capacity for the rear axle differential must be  observed!
Filling up to the lower edge of the oil filler opening would overfill the rear axle differential.

Draining the rear differential fluid

Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
