If necessary: Replacing the gas pressure springs for hood

Replace both gas pressure springs for hood with separate invoicing .

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid .
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

The notes on the disassembly and installation of ball sockets with clamps are the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical

Slide the locking springs (1) up to the end of the gas pressure spring for hood (2) and remove the gas pressure spring for hood (2) from the ball head.
