Topping up the rear differential fluid

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Rear differential fluid must be shaken (mixed) prior to use so that the additive distributes evenly in the oil.
Filling capacity for the rear axle differential must be observed!
Filling up to the lower edge of the oil filler opening would overfill the rear axle differential.

NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
It is imperative to ensure that there is no air in the hose when topping up a defined (measured) oil quantity.

- Use special tool 2 460 340 for topping up.
- To top up a defined (measured) oil quantity, first fill hose (1) with oil. To do this, connect adapter (2).

- Follow repair instructions!
- Release the oil filler plug (1).
- Shake (mix) the rear differential fluid before use.
- Measure the required filling capacity and top up the rear differential fluid.

- Replace (1) screw plug.
