Passenger-Side Air Bag Module

Passenger-side air bag module is installed inside instrument panel, above glove box. It is accessible by removing the cover or panel on top of passenger-side air bag module.
Air bag module consists of large inflatable air bag, 2 gas generators, and 2 igniters. Air bag fully inflates in about 35 milliseconds. Gas is then released through a filtered vent on the windshield side of the air bag, causing it to deflate.
