Front Suspension Assembly: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace all self-locking nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
The centering pin of the support bearing must lie in the bore of the wheel arch and the marking must be noted.
When installing engine mounts and control arm bracket, check for damaged threads. Damaged threads can be repaired with Helicoil M12 x 1.5 threaded inserts. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
When installing steering tie rod, remove grease from pin and bore.
Install cross reinforcement. See REINFORCEMENT CROSS BRACE .
Install reinforcement plate. See REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
Install ABS pulse generator line, brake calipers and engine underguard.
Check and adjust front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
