Removal (M3)

CAUTION:
If a bracket is replaced, a new rubber mount must also be installed on the other side.
- Remove engine underguard and, if necessary, heat shield on right. See 51 11 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE FRONT BUMPER (FROM 10/01) .
- Remove reinforcement plate. See REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
- Unfasten screws. See Figure.
- Punch mark center of control arm. See Figure.
- If necessary, remachine special tool (31 2 151). See Figure.
- Detach bracket with special tool (00 7 500/31 2 151) from control arm. See Figure.
