Removal & Installation (Three Spoke Steering Wheel)

- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Using Torx T30 bit with long shank, remove air bag module Torx screws from rear of steering wheel. Lift up air bag module to disconnect wiring connector from rear of module. Put air bag module in a secure area with trim pad (air bag) facing upward.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag module Torx screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. Perform system operation check to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
