Passenger-Side Air Bag Module

Passenger-side air bag module is installed inside dash, above glove box. It is accessible by removing the cover or panel on top of passenger side air bag module. Air bag module consists of large inflatable air bag, 2 gas generators, and 2 igniters. Air bag fully inflates in about 35 milliseconds. Gas is then released through a filtered vent on the windshield side of the air bag, causing it to deflate.
