Removal & Installation (V8)

- Switch ignition off. If engine acoustic cover is screwed down, remove seal caps and unfasten nuts. Remove acoustic cover. If acoustic cover has press-stud fasteners, open press-studs, one at a time, at the same time lifting the acoustic cover slightly. Once all 4 press-studs have been opened, remove acoustic cover. Remove sealing caps and unfasten nuts. Remove cover from ignition coils.
- On all models, unfasten coil plug connection. Unfasten screws on ignition coils. Unscrew and remove spark plugs. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ground straps of cylinder head cover must be secured on ignition coils for cylinders No. 3 and 6. Position acoustic cover and install nuts or press downward until press-studs click into place.
