Removal & Installation (6-Cylinder)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 82 other vehicles, including the 2006 BMW M3, 2006 BMW 330Ci, 2006 BMW 325Ci, 2005 BMW M3, and 2005 BMW 745i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove engine cover. See Fig 1. Disconnect ignition coil connector. Remove ignition coil nuts. Remove ignition coil(s). See Fig 2.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Install ground strap. See Fig 3. Ensure ignition coil common ground lead is attached to front of cylinder head, near engine lift bracket.
