Removal & Installation (V12)

Using scan tool, interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Turn ignition off. Disconnect mass airflow sensor connector. Loosen hose clip. See Fig 1. Remove intake hose from mass airflow sensor. Remove clips and detach mass airflow sensor from air cleaner upper section. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check seal between mass airflow sensor and air cleaner upper section for damage. See Fig 3. Replace as necessary. To ease assembly, coat seal with acid-free grease. Using scan tool, interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Check for stored fault codes. Repair faults as necessary. Clear memory.
