Removal & Installation (3-Series - E46)

Open wiring conduit on lower section of microfilter housing on cowl. Feed out wiring from conduit. Remove 4 microfilter housing screws on cowl. Remove lower section of microfilter housing. See Figure. Remove engine cover. Disconnect temperature sensor electrical connector. Press locking tab on side of temperature sensor. Remove temperature sensor from intake manifold. To install reverse removal procedure. To install, reverse removal procedure.
