Removal & Installation (6-Cylinder)

NOTE:
Fuel pressure regulator for 6-cylinder vehicles may be installed on fuel rail (type 1) or under vehicle (type 2).
Fuel pressure regulator is located on fuel rail. Open wire conduit on lower section of microfilter housing on cowl. Carefully feed wiring out of conduit. Remove 4 screws from microfilter housing. Remove lower section of microfilter housing. See Fig 1. Remove engine cover. Disconnect vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator. Note position of vacuum connector on fuel pressure regulator. Remove circlip. Remove fuel pressure regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure lug on circlip engages in slot on injector fuel rail.
