DSC Pressure Sensor ("H" & "V"): Removal

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 34 other vehicles, including the 2004 BMW M3, 2004 BMW 330xi, 2004 BMW 330i, 2004 BMW 330Ci, and 2004 BMW 325xi. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn toggle (1) through approximately 90 degrees and remove microfilter cover (2) towards front. See Figure.
  2. Remove microfilter element (1). See Figure.
  3. Unclip retainers (1) and feed cable out of cable duct. See Figure.
  4. Release screws (1) and remove microfilter housing towards front. See Figure.
  5. Detach rubber strip (1). Release locks (2) and pull side trim forwards a little. See Figure.
  6. Remove screws (1 and 2) and lift out heater bulkhead. See Figure.
  7. Remove expansion tank for brake fluid. See BRAKE EXPANSION TANK .
  8. Remove vacuum line and B+ line from assembly compartment partition wall. Turn fasteners (1) through 90 degrees and thus unlock. Remove assembly compartment partition wall (2) towards top. See Figure.
  9. Detach pipe (1) from intermediate piece (2) and from master brake cylinder (3). Remove pipe with rubber grommet. See Fig 1.
  10. For "H", unfasten plug connection (1). Detach pressure sensor (2) from master brake cylinder (3). See Fig 2.
  11. For "V", unfasten plug connection (1). Detach pressure sensor (2) from master brake cylinder (3). See Fig 3.
