- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

- Note component's center of gravity.
- Support component using a jack.
- Secure component against falling off the jack.

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
CAUTION:
Shavings resulting from sawing or grinding components.

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
- Wear safety goggles and hand protection.
- If the separation point is not marked by a grain in the pipe, determine the separation point with the pipe length on the new component:
- Mark the separation point on the component being replaced.
- Cut through the component to be replaced at the marked point with a suitable tool.
- Release the nut (1) on the rear axle support.
- Unscrew the nuts (arrows).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Lower the exhaust system (1) with the help of a support person and remove it.
