Removing The Trunk Lid
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVE TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to 51 24 300 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING THE GAS PRESSURE SPRING FOR TAILGATE ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT
- Unlock and disconnect all the plug connections of the wiring harness (1) on the tailgate.
- Guide out wiring harness (1) from the tailgate.

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Release screws (1) and remove the tailgate.
