Preparing New Part

• Mark and make the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.

• At the separating cuts, prepare the reinforcement plates for the welded connection and the bonded connection.
• Adjust reinforcement plates and new part to fit.
• Area (1): Set a 6x bore of ø 4.2 mm for the blind rivet.

• Areas (1) and (2): Make bores of Ø 4.2 mm for the blind rivets.

• Remove new part and deburr holes.
• Prepare the B-pillar reinforcement, C-pillar and C-pillar reinforcement areas for joining by using the welding method.
• Prepare bonding surfaces.

Preparing the steel surface (used part and new part) for non-structural adhesive bond 

• Do not sand the bonding surface.
• Do not sand the bonding surface down to the bare metal.
• Clean coarse dirt from the bonding surfaces.
