Preparing New Part
- Coat the side panel with sealant before painting in the area (1)

CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83425A547B4
- Paint side panel.
- Release screw (1) and remove guide (2) from the side panel to be replaced.
- Check the guide (2) for damage; replace it if necessary.
- Attach the guide (2)
to the new part and tighten the screw (1)
.
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Guides to side panel Screw tightening torque 3.0 Nm
- Remount the sheet metal nut (3) on the new part.
- Remount the sheet metal nut (1) on the new part.
- Release the seal (2) at the detents (3) and remount it on the new part.
- Release the retaining strip (4)
on the detents and remove it.
Check the retaining strip (4) for damage; replace it if necessary.
- Attach the retaining strip (4)
to the new part and clip into the detents.
