NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Make separating cut (1) as shown.
- Bend section (2) inwards on bend line (3) in the arrow direction.
- N.B.: Do not bend back the sheet metal cutout (2) until after the final installation of the new part. Two blind rivets are installed in the area (2). Make the bores for them only after the final assembly of the new part and bending the cutouts back.
- If necessary, increase size of bores (1) by a maximum of 10 mm in diameter.
- Adjust the new part in combination with tailgate and tail lights and secure it.
- Areas (1) to (3): Set diameter of bores to 4.2 mm for blind rivet.
Area Number 1 4 2 3 3 4 - Areas (1) to (3): Set diameter of bores to 4.2 mm for blind rivet.
Area Number 1 4 2 2 3 3 - Areas (1) and (2): Make 4 bores of Ø 4.2 mm for blind rivet.
Area Number 1 1 2 3 - Prepare areas (1) to (3) for joining by means of the bonded rivet method (punch rivets).
- Remove new parts and deburr bores.
