Installing The Tail Panel Outer Section

Pre-clean the bonding surfaces on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R2.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324

Clean the bonding surfaces on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R1.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Cleaning agent R1 100 ml, Bottle 83192211217

Apply adhesive K5 to the bonding surfaces.
ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION

Body adhesive K5 195 ml 83195A59935

Install the new part and rivet in areas (1) to (3) with blind rivets N3.

Blind rivet N3
Ø 4 mm; clamping area 1-3 mm 83190301421

Rivet the new part in the areas (1) to (3) with the blind rivets N3.

Rivet the new part in areas (1) and (2) with punch rivets N4 and N5.

Installing the EMC screw

Drill a hole with a diameter of 4.2 mm.
In the case of glued connections, only drill the hole after the adhesive has fully hardened.
Screw in the EMC screw.

Seal the EMC screw with the sealant.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Avoid contact of the escaped adhesive with the support for the bumper cover. Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents.

Press in the new part in area (1) and remove any leaking adhesive.
Attach the support for bumper cover.
Install 3 EMC screws in areas (2) after the adhesive has hardened.
