Preparing New Part
- Place roof outer skin on vehicle and adjust to fit.
- To keep the processing time short after applying the adhesive, have the following attachment material ready before the installation.
Mounting and adjusting the securing tool for the roof outer skin
- Variant with M7 rivet nut:
Pull out the hold-down device (1) before installation by turning it until it reaches the same dimensions as shown.
Position the securing tool 2 469 797 over the rivet nut (2).
Join the M7 screw (3) and tighten by hand until the roof outer skin rests on the roof frame.
- Variant with mounting hole for mounting the roof rack:
Pull out the hold-down device (2) before installation by turning it until it reaches the same dimensions as shown.
Position the securing tool 2 469 797 over the mounting hole.
Join the M7 screw connection (1) (screw, 2 washers and nut) and hand-tighten it until the roof outer skin rests on the roof frame.
- Mount and adjust the securing tools 2 469 797

- Prepare area (1) for joining with the welding method.
- Prepare the bonding surfaces.
