Install The Connection Between The Engine Mount And The Side Frame
- Install reinforcement plate (2) and weld in areas (1).
- Apply adhesive K1 to the bonding surfaces (1) on the vehicle and on the new part.

- Install the connecting plate.
During the installation, make sure that there is enough adhesive on the bonding surfaces.
- Weld the connecting plate in areas (1) to (4).
- Avoid a very high heat input in the area (1).
The cowl cross-member lying behind the area (1) is filled with inflammable cavity foam.
In case of smoke formation: Stop the welding procedure and cool the welded area with compressed air if applicable.
- Weld the new part in areas (1) and (2).
- Note the spot-welded adhesive joints of the panel lying above with the floor panel in the area (2). Avoid excessive application of heat. Cool the area (2) with compressed air as appropriate.
- Apply the adhesive K1 on the bonding surfaces (1) and (2) of the vehicle and affix on new part.
- Install the joint plate and rivet it in areas (1) with blind rivets N1.
During the installation, make sure that there is enough adhesive on the bonding surfaces.

- Weld the new part in areas (1) to (4).
- Avoid a very high heat input in the area (1).
