- (1) Remove adhesive residue on the bonding surfaces. Do not damage the shock tower and carrier support in the process!
- Prepare areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum on aluminum and aluminum on steel.
- Remove the adhesive residue on the bonding surface (1).
- Prepare the bonding surface (1) for a structure bonding of steel to aluminum.
- Remove adhesive residue from bonding surfaces.
- Seal the hole (1) by MAG weld.
- Drill out holes (2) to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Remove adhesive residue from all other bonding surfaces.
- Adjust and affix the new part of the engine mount with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture.
- Prepare areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of aluminum on steel.
- Transfer the holes to the new part in areas (1). Drill holes with Ø 6.8 mm.
- Adjust new part (1).
- Prepare areas (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare area (3) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of aluminum on steel.
- In the area (3), drill holes to Ø 6.8 mm. Select the number and position in line with the self-tapping screws of the standard production.
- Prepare area (4) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivet of steel on steel.
- In the area (4), drill one hole to Ø 6.8 mm. Select the position in line with the self-tapping screw of the standard production.
Welding the ground pin and the coarse thread bolt onto the reinforcement of the engine mount
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Take the quantity and position from the component to be replaced.
- Weld the ground pin (1) and coarse thread bolt (2) onto the new part.
- Prepare areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of aluminum on steel.
- Transfer the holes to the new part in areas (1). Drill holes with Ø 6.8 mm.

For additional information see: 41 00... Transferring hole pattern.- Transfer the hole pattern of the engine mount (1) to the new part in area (2). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Prepare areas (1) and (2) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of aluminum on aluminum.
- In area (1), transfer the positions of the holes from the engine mount to the spring support. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.

For additional information see: 41 00... Transferring hole pattern. - Transfer the hole pattern of the engine mount (1) to the new part in area (2). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Transfer the hole patterns from the engine mount to the spring support in areas (2). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Position holder (1).
- Prepare area (2) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of aluminum on aluminum.
- In the area (2), drill holes to Ø 6.8 mm. Select the number and position in line with the self-tapping screws of the standard production.
- Position holder (1).
- Prepare the areas (2) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum on aluminum.
- In the areas (2), drill holes to Ø 6.8 mm. Select the number and position in line with the self-tapping screws of the standard production.
