Preparing New Part

- Remove adhesive residue from all bonding surfaces.
- Adjust new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture and secure.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum with blind rivets.

- Transfer the hole pattern of the engine mount (1) to the new part in area (2). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets of steel on steel.
- In the areas (1), drill 7 holes Ø 6.8 mm according to the schematic diagram. Compare the position of the rivet holes with the weld points of the serial components.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum with blind rivets.
- Transfer the 3 holes to the new part in area (1). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum with blind rivets.
- Transfer the 2 holes to the new part in area (1). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Prepare areas (1) and (2) for structural adhesive bonding with punch rivets of steel on steel.
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum with blind rivets.
- In area (1), copy the positions of the holes from the spring support to the new part. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Make separating cut (1) on the bulkhead new part (2) in accordance with separating cut on vehicle.
- Adjust the bulkhead new part (2).

- Prepare a reinforcement plate for the separating cut (1).
- Prepare the area of the recess (3) for joining with 2 x spot-welding.

- Prepare area (4) for joining by welding.
Observe the procedure for the replacement of spot-welded adhesive joints for the standard production.
- Make separating cut (1) on new part in accordance with separating cut on vehicle.
- Prepare a reinforcement plate (1) for the separating cut (2).
Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare areas (3) for joining by welding.
- Prepare the area of the recess (4) for joining with 2 x spot-welding.
Note the underlying structural adhesive bonding in the area (5).
- Prepare a reinforcement plate (1) for the separating cut (2).
Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare areas (3) for joining by welding.
- Prepare the recesses (4) for joining with 2 x spot-welding.
Note the underlying structural adhesive bonding in the area (5).
- Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding with blind rivets.
- Copy the positions of the 3 punch rivet holes to the new part in area (1). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Remove the new parts and deburr the bores.
