Replacing the side ornamental grille

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work

- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR .

Removing ultrasonic sensors
NOTE:
The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Unlock the detents (1) and release the ultrasonic sensor (2) from the bumper cover.
- Perform the steps on all other ultrasonic sensors.
Removing the front trim strip
- Release and remove the trim strip (1) from the detents (arrows).
- Replace the ornamental grille.

Install front trim strip
- Install the trim strip (1) and snap onto the detents (arrows).
Installing ultrasonic sensors
NOTE: The description is provided only at one component. The procedure is the same for all other components.NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details. - Check decoupling ring (1) for damage and, if necessary, replace it.
- Feed in the ultrasonic sensor (2) and clip it into the detents (1).
- Perform the steps on all other ultrasonic sensors.
