Install the rear window
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The seal of the lower rear window is no longer necessary. A damaged seal must be removed

The rear window is installed without a seal
- Clean the bonding surfaces on the body and the rear window
- Keep 2 glue cartridges ready
- Prepare a glue cartridge with the standard nozzle C
- Apply bead joint in area (1)
- Apply adhesive bead within the mark (2) on the rear windowTECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION
Adhesive bead b = Width 7 mm... 9 mm h = Height 11 mm... 13 mm - Open the tailgate (1) by approximately 1/3 and secure it in this position
- Using suction lifters, carefully guide the rear window (2) parallel to the C-pillar and thread it in below the tailgate
- Carefully fir the rear window (2) with the suction lifters at the top and align is evenly sideways
- Using suction lifters, carefully press the rear window (2) upwards until the seal has uniform contact with the roof
- Press the rear window (2) carefully with suction lifters evenly all around and adjust the gap dimensionTECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION

2.6+1.3-1.3 mm - Measure the recess (A) of the rear window (1) to the roof outer skin (2) with the special tool 0 495 259 (51 0010)
Measure the gap dimension (B) with the special tool 0 496 076 (00 9 470)
- Secure rear window (1) with adhesive tap on the roof
- Connect connector (1)
- Fix the cable (2) with the nuts (1) on to the attachment point
- Loosen cable (2) from the rear window
- Connect connector (1)
