Installing the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor

Check

• Check the silicone surface (1) and sensor (2) for damage

Result 

» Sensor (2) is damaged

Measure 

• Replace rain-light-solar-condensation sensor

Result 

» Silicone surface is damaged (1)

Measure 

• Replace the gel pad

Result 

» Silicone surface (1) and sensor (2) do not show signs of damage

Measure 

• Install the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor
• Carefully clean windshield in contact area (1) of rain-light-solar-condensation sensor

• Guide in the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (2) in the holder and press on the center of the retaining springs (1)
• To lock in place, press down the retaining springs (1) on each side one after the other

Check 

• Check contact surface externally for air pockets

  Visible shades (1) are not air pockets, rather the optical element of the rain-light-solar-condensation sensor (2). The shades (1) do not represent a functional limitation

Result 

» Contact surface exhibits air pockets

Measure 

• Remove rain-light-solar-condensation sensor and reinstall it
• Connect connectors (1) and lock
