Checking/Topping up the transfer box oil (Active Torque Control 13-1)

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the transmission.
Damage to the transmission due to unapproved transmission oil.

Use only the approved transmission oil.
Check the transmission oil level after completing the repair.

Open the oil filler plug (1).
Check the transmission oil level on the transfer box (VTG).

If necessary, top up transmission oil with the special tool 0 493 337 (00 2 080) up to the lower edge of the opening for the oil filler plug.

Tighten the oil filler plug (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Oil filler and oil drain plugs
M22	tightening torque	60 Nm
