Removing the center convertible roof brace

Precondition
- Battery charger connected.
CAUTION:
Folding up of convertible top through loss of pressure in hydraulic cylinders.

- When carrying out all repair work, secure soft top and soft top compartment lid with a suitable support tool against collapsing. Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
- Bring the convertible top (1) in the half opened position.
Secure the convertible top (1) from collapsing by using the support 2 452 010 if necessary.
- Feed out the edge stripping of the convertible top fabric (1) in arrow direction from the convertible top bow (2).
- Release the retaining clip (1).
- Guide out bolt (2).
- Guide the tension cable (3) out of the guides (4).NOTE: Document the position of the tension cables in the guides before removal.
- Feed out the tension cable (1) further in arrow direction from the guides on the convertible top bow (2).
- Unhook the tension cable (1) on the convertible top bow (2).NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Mark the position of the convertible roof brace (3) in the areas (2).
- Loosen the screws (1) and guide out the convertible roof brace (3) with the help of a support person.
