Replace shock absorber

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or spring strut support bearing with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.

- Remove centering cap (1).
- Detach connector (2) from the shock absorber.
- Release nut (1) with special tool 2 360 213 . Counter hold it using standard tools (SW10) (3) in the process.
- Remove the support bearing (2).
- Remove the auxiliary damper (1) with the protective tube (2).
- Loosen screw (3).
- Remove the rear vertical acceleration sensor (4).
- Replace the shock absorber.

- Position the rear vertical acceleration sensor (1) in holder (2).
- Tighten the screw (3) on the rear vertical acceleration sensor (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Check the auxiliary damper (1) and the protective tube (2) for damage and replace if necessary.
- Position the auxiliary damper (1) and the protective tube (2).
- Position support bearing (2).
- Replace nut (1).

- Tighten the nut (1) with the special tool 2 360 213 . Counter hold it using standard tools (SW10) (3) in the process.

- Connect connector (2).
- Secure the adapter cable to centering cap (1).
- Insert the centering cap (1) on the support bearing.
