Installing the safety battery terminal

• Position the positive battery cable (3) on the power distribution.
• Tighten nut (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Positive battery cable to power distribution box
  Flange nut M8	tightening torque	15 Nm

• Clip in clip (2).
• Position cover (1) and clip in (arrows).

• Connect connectors (1) and lock.

• Position the safety battery terminal (4) on the positive battery terminal.
• Tighten nut (3).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Positive battery terminal to battery
  Nut	tightening torque	5 Nm

• Position the positive battery cable (2) on the safety battery terminal.
• Tighten nut (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Positive battery cable to safety battery terminal
  Flange nut M8	tightening torque	15 Nm

• Connect protective cap (1).

• Close the positive terminal cover (1).

Check 

• Check guides (1) and the detent (3) on the protective cap (2) for damage.

  Result 

  » Guides (1) or detents (3) are damaged.

  Measure

  • Replace protective cap (2).
• Insert guides (3) of protective cap into the associated openings on the positive battery terminal.
• Clip in the protective cap (1) with the detent (2).
