Securing the universal joint to the steering gear

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The universal joint can be mounted only in one position.
The universal joint and the steering gear or the steering shaft are encoded to each other.
The clamping bolt must be positioned in the groove of the steering gear or the steering shaft.

- Clean the screw threads to remove all remnants of screw lock agent.
- Slide universal joint (2) onto the steering gear in the arrow direction.
- Renew the clamping bolt (1).

- Tighten the clamping bolt (1) from below with reversible ratchet and long extension.
