When replacing the backrest frame: Remount components

Removing backrest width adjustment with valve (M CFRP bucket seat)
- Carefully release all the marked attachment points of the backrest width adjustment (1).
- Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.
- Release the yellow-marked cables and lines from the backrest frame carefully .
- Remove the backrest width adjustment with valve (1).
Removing the cushion support (M CFRP bucket seat)

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical. - Release the screws (1) on the cushion support (2).
- Unclip the cushion support (1) from the detents of the support tube (2) in the arrow direction carefully
and remove.

Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Release nuts (1).
- Remove the side airbag (2) from the backrest frame (3).
Unlock the plug connection of the side airbag (1) and disconnect.
Remove the release mechanism from the front seat (M CFRP bucket seat)

- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unscrew the screw (2) from the drive system (3) for the backrest tilt adjustment.
- Position the drive system (1) for backrest tilt adjustment on the drive linkage (2) of the backrest tilt adjustment in the arrow direction as shown so that the Bowden cable of the release mechanism (3) is accessible.NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.
- Unclip the Bowden cable (1) from the holder (2).
- Carefully
guide the Bowden cable (1) out of the unlocking mechanism of the rear seat backrest (3).
- Release the screws (1) of the release mechanism (2).
- Carefully guide the release mechanism (1) out of the backrest frame (2).
Remounting small parts

Some parts may differ in certain details.NOTE: During a replacement, remount all installed parts and/or replace as necessary. - Remount all installed parts of the seat frame/backrest frame that are not included among the new parts.
Installing the release mechanism on the front seat (M CFRP bucket seat)

- Position the release mechanism (1) carefully at the backrest frame (2) as depicted.
- Tighten the screws (1) of the release mechanism (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Release mechanism to backrest frame (M CFRP bucket seat) M6x10 screw Tightening torque 6 Nm NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides. - Carefully feed in the Bowden cable (1) as shown into the unlocking of the rear seat backrest (3).
- Clip in the Bowden cable (1) into the holder (2).
- Position the drive system (1) for backrest tilt adjustment correctly in arrow direction on the holder for the drive system of the backrest tilt adjustment (2).
- Position the drivetrain for backrest tilt adjustment (3) as shown.
- Tighten the screw (2) from the drivetrain for backrest tilt adjustment (3).
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.

- Position the backrest width adjustment (1) with the valve as depicted.
- Position cables and lines marked in yellow in the backrest frames as depicted.
- Clip in all marked attachment points of the backrest width adjustment (1).
- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
