Removing the front emblem

Handle tools and components carefully.

Mask off the working area with plastic adhesive tape to prevent paint damage.
Heat the emblem (1) carefully with a hot air blower and release it from the adhesive strip with the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327).

Surface temperature
40°C... 50°C
Carefully lever out the badge (1) from the grommets (2) and remove it.
Remove the adhesive residue from the hood.
